I had so much fun working with Laura & Rafe! We met last fall over a beer in Carmel and I could tell immediately these two were fun and down to earth. They’d chosen the most perfect and elegant venues in downtown Indianapolis and they did not disappoint!
Even with a mid-October wedding date – we lucked out with a beautiful (even if very windy) and sun-shiny day. It was definitely meant to be. Laura and Rafe opted not have a first look, so when they saw each other in the aisle at Saint Johns – was such a moment. Laura’s smile beamed as she saw Rafe.
I love the navy and raspberry palette Laura and Rafe chose as a theme for the day. The berry deep pink of the bridesmaids dresses, were a bold contrast to the men’s navy suits and both gave the florals from The Empty Vase a sweet pop. Laura’s high neckline gown from Nancy’s Bridal was the cherry on top to the day’s look. As you’ll see, we had no problem finding spots around Indianapolis for portraits to complete the day’s elegant look.
Thank you to Sarah (Plum & Poppy Weddings) and her coordinating crew, who were full of smiles as they assisted throughout the day. You were all a joy to work with. And a big thanks to my associate photographer, Jaclyn, for capturing these church (Saint John the Evangelist) detail and reception images (Eiteljorg Museum) while we knocked out portraits around town!
I’m so happy for you two and know you have an adventurous life ahead. I hope you enjoyed your first adventure to Hawaii!
Many blessings, Laura and Rafe – Enjoy this sneak peak into their day!
