I had so much fun working with Maria and Curtis this year. I love learning more about couples, and Maria and Curtis’ love story had me in awe..
“My fiancé’s name is Curtis Reeser, and we have known each other for ages. We dated for a second in high school and have remained best friends for the last nine years. My junior year of college I studied abroad in Spain, and when I came home he asked if he could make me dinner. We’ve been dating ever since (five years in total)! After graduating I moved to Indonesia on scholarship for a year and we made the long-distance thing work. He came and visited, and we spent time in Indonesia and two weeks in Vietnam together. We’ve also been to Spain, France and Canada, and plan to go to Amsterdam and Scotland for our honeymoon. He has a love for coaching, anything Sci-fi/Fantasy and a big hunk of red meat. I’m an avid reader, I love to cook, plan trips and daydream. Our favorite thing to do on a Friday night is make a big meal and drink red wine on the couch together.”
I love so much you two have been able to travel the world together, and you’re only just beginning.
The two planned a huge (huge!) party at Primo, which was founded by and is still owned by Maria’s family – and the party was a hit. Maria has memories of “Saturday mornings as a kid in the kitchen, and grew up roaming the halls in a pink Barbie jeep” and working off and on through high school and college. So you can bet celebrating their love with all their family and friends brought these memories full circle.
Mother Nature gave us a perfect sun-shiny fall day and the pop of color from Deeply Seeded perfected the look.
Maria, not many ladies can pull off a sheath dress (Nancy’s Bridal), and pull it off you did. Simply gorgeous.
For being two who are “camera shy”, this obviously does not apply when you’re together and focused on that connection. I loved working with you two and am so happy I was part of your day. I know these images will represent the day as it was and will last you a lifetime! Enjoy your peek!
