I had so much fun working with Rachel and Nick from a distance, since they’re currently residing in Virginia. I’ll admit, when Rachel reached out and mentioned Mustard Seeds was the venue, I squealed a bit inside. I’ve been dying to photograph at this most perfect outdoor venue, and it did not disappoint! After weeks (and weeks and weeks) of rain in Indiana – Mother Nature gave us this perfect sun-shiny day.
I love the blue on blue palette Rachel and Nick chose as a theme for the day. The dusty blue of the bridesmaids dresses, were a soft contrast to the men’s navy suits and both gave the florals from Union Street Flowers a sweet pop. Rachel’s off-the-shoulder lace dress was the cherry on top to the day’s look. While the outdoor space is open and reminiscent of the hills of Bloomington – the indoor getting rooms also offered a lovely bright and clean palette. Just wait until you see Rachel’s getting ready and her first look with her father. (Seriously all the heart eyes and I had tears in my eyes witnessing this moment, as did her dad!)
Rachel and Nick opted not have a first look, but a moment alone sharing a prayer. We led Rachel to where Nick was waiting and they read letters to each other and Nick prayed for the marriage. It was a really sweet moment and captured perfectly.
Thank you to Mustard Seed Gardens, Colleen and her coordinating crew, who were full of smiles as they assisted throughout the day. You were all a joy to work with and I can’t wait to be back!
Thank you, Mr. and Mrs. Hale and blessings for many beautiful years together.
Enjoy this sneak peak into their day!
