Tinker Street Events | Brooke & Chris

Meghan Harrison Photography | Indianapolis Wedding Photographer

Last summer when I met with Brooke to discuss photographing her wedding, I quickly realized how much I loved her! She was so organized, completely confident in what she envisioned for her special day with Chris, and as you can see below, her wedding day was perfection.

The big day arrived on April 21, 2018 at Tinker House Events in downtown Indianapolis. Indiana weather being completely unpredictable, even in late April we were still experiencing days of chill, and a even snow late Easter week! Thankfully, that Saturday the weather warmed, and though it was a bit cloudy, we got peeks of sun at the most opportune times during the wedding party pictures.

Check out this preview of Chris and Brooke’s wedding gallery. I was so honored to be a part of the beginning of their married lives together, and hope to photograph this beautiful couple again in the future!

The Alexander Hotel is hands down one of my favorite indoor locations. With a west facing wall of windows, colorful decor and architecture, you’re sure to always have beautiful and lively portraits.

Chris and Brooke’s wedding was a more intimate affair and I think Tinker Street Events is the perfect location if that’s your goal. I adored the bridal suite — filled with vintage furniture, bulb lighting and greenery. As you can see, Tinker Street boasts wood accents and funky touches here and there, which gave us so many places for portraits!

Oh, how I love the Indianapolis War Memorial! Our city may be on the smaller side (considering how grand it is) 😉 but from the top of the memorial, we have gorgeous city skylines, and incredible details of the building to create unique and timeless wedding photographs. The winds picked up as we photographed the bride and groom, and this made for some fun shots of Brooke’s dress flying behind her beautifully (even if a few stray pieces of hair were collateral – sorry, Brooke!) 🙂

It’s always great when the wedding party is fun, and let me tell you, the groomsmen were a hoot! The bridal party ladies were relaxed and filled with joy and love for Brooke. There wasn’t a dry eye when Brooke revealed her gown to the ladies, it was simply perfect for this timeless day.

Indianapolis based Black Plate Catering provided tasty heavy appetizers, which kept everyone content for a night of drinks and dancing.

Brooke & Chris – Thank you so much for allowing us to take part in your beautiful wedding. It was truly a pleasure to document your day!
